So isn’t AI going to replace middle managers?

Well, probably not any time soon - but who knows. AI though is best suited to doing routine tasks requiring large amounts of information that is hard or tedious for human beings. So actually this should enable higher productivity.

I am planning a deeper review of AI and the workplace - but this recently study published by Jonna Koponen of the University of Eastern Finland caught my eye because it showed some of the complexities of AI and how it can be perceived and used differently. Ironically it can make middle managers roles more challenging!
