Research Hit: Reliability Promotes Risk Taking
In children having reliable parents seems to increase exploration and risk taking
Isn’t there a saying somewhere that you have to be stable to be flexible, or something like that?
I’m not sure but it does match observations that you need a certain amount of stability for agility - this is also an observation of McKinsey on corporate agility.
This research, from end of last year, looked into children and how their parents’ personality and reliability influences their behaviour. This could be applicable to many areas including business because many of these psychological rules are general principles which influence people in all contexts.
