A review of tips and tricks to keeping high performing teams in hybrid working contexts
In the new world of hybrid, leadership will change in multiple and sometimes subtle ways. Team leadership will also change – even though many teams in multinational have had a hybrid approach already moving to 100% hybrid where everybody will be absent at times, raises multiple challenges.
The important question to answer is, is leading a hybrid team the same as, or different to, leading a team in-person? The short answer is, it is not!
The next question is, is leading a hybrid team the same as leading a virtual team? The short answer, is also, it is not!
Now at this stage many team leaders of many multinationals will pipe up and say that they have been leading hybrid teams for the last decade or so. This is partly true. It is partly true that they have had distributed teams but distributed teams is not the same as a hybrid team. So first let’s understand what a hybrid team is.
